At Murdoch our photography students develop a full range of industry-standard skills and aesthetic knowledge that they can employ to fully realise their individual creative talents. From a grounding in the basics of photography and an introduction to important styles and movements, students go on to build their skills. Students work both in the studio and on location, learning about lighting, digital workflow, and editing. They also develop printing skills and have opportunities to exhibit their work. Photography majors are challenged with producing documentaries, creating sophisticated artistic portfolios, and meeting demanding technical standards. Our advanced students participate in real-world corporate projects and professional industry placements.
Graduates are currently working in fashion, art, sport, medical, product, architectural, event and corporate areas of photography
