Futurism as a movement has its origins in literature and the creative arts. The passion to re-imagine the world through original and ground-breaking forms and styles remains as important in the twenty-first century as it did in the early 1900s.
English and Creative Writing at Murdoch invites students to immerse themselves in the critical, creative, and imaginative worlds of literature and writing. Alongside myriad opportunities to read diverse texts written in different historical periods and cultures, students in English and Creative Writing practise and hone their writing in a range of genres, voices, and styles. Students also develop work that ranges across the conventional and experimental: riffing on established texts, or playing with form and content in original ways.
